I dont like spicy food at all, most of their tacos are spicy but you can always ask for the Sauce on the side.

i went for a 5 pm reservation and there where kids. Around 7pm the lights got dimmer and music louder so i definitely recommend before 7pm with kids

It gets pretty loud and pretty busy during peak times. So "kid friendly" probably isn't the right term. You could certainly bring them, but I would say go early.
